About the Business
Relaxed Farming is our 'online farm', bringing 'our farm' to 'your classroom' through downloadable resources and teaching materials and a wealth of photos and videos all centred around the animals and plants on the smallholding. Relaxed began life in Oxfordshire, became a limited company in 2007 and then undertook a successful move to Cornwall in 2009. Its two directors, David Chidgey and Jack Smellie, successfully combine their love of education with their IT knowledge, whilst running a one acre smallholding attached to the house/office. Jack and David are both ex-teachers with over 40 years combined experience in teaching (primary, secondary, special and community!). They also have masses of experience in writing curriculum-related materials and training teachers, resulting in the company's relationship with its educational clients being extremely pro-active. The positive relationship with these clients is a huge part of Relaxed's success.
